101 Web Tips I Learned

If you don’t know, I am a beginnning webmaster.  I have prepared this post for long time about all the things I have learned.  Enjoy!

  1. Don’t expect quick money.
  2. Blogging is fun and easy
  3. Promoting on forums is great.
  4. Quality over quantity.
  5. Link baiting is easy and good for links.
  6. Twitter is great for money and traffic.
  7. Always make social bookmarking on your site easy to access.
  8. Valid Xhtml and CSS is important.
  9. Affiliates rock.
  10. Write/blog about what your passionate about.
  11. Guest posting is fun and benefisial.
  12. Building subscribers is hard.
  13. Don’t give out too many Dofollow links.
  14. Pr is over rated.
  15. Always back up your site.
  16. Use proper grammar.
  17. Interlink your pages.
  18. Don’t stop believing.
  19. Traffic jumps at a a certain time.
  20. Posting on Dofollow blogs rocks.
  21. Make sure Google indexes all your pages.
  22. Have a site map.
  23. Research your topic.  Don’t look stupid.
  24. Be clear when you write.
  25. Don’t use advanced vocabulary.
  26. Use a lot of pictures.
  27. Use videos.
  28. Free templates aren’t that bad.
  29. Use a captcha.
  30. Block spam comments.
  31. Wordpress and Joomla are amazing.
  32. Commentators don’t grow on trees.
  33. Blogging daily is hard.
  34. There are a lot of spammers out there.
  35. Content beats SEO, design, and everything else.
  36. Google doesn’t really care about keywords.
  37. Directories aren’t very good.
  38. Google adwords is hard to make money off of in my niche.
  39. Duplicate content is very annoying.
  40. You need to stand out from the crowd.
  41. How to deal with negativity.
  42. Write for your readers and search engines will like you.
  43. Content stealers are annoying and common.
  44. Everyone loves lists.
  45. When you write, your writing improves.
  46. Use Hyper cam 2 to add videos of your computer screen.
  47. You can print your screen.
  48. Forums are hard to start.
  49. Lists are easy to write.
  50. Have a question?  Use forums,
  51. Responding to constant emails and comments can be annoying.
  52. Comments and emails make you feel good if there positive.
  53. Plug-ins are really helpful.
  54. Seo isn’t that hard.
  55. Use Google keywords tool to look for keywords.
  56. Always put keywords in titles and descriptions.
  57. Choosing the right domain and name is very important.
  58. I’m a really really fast typer now.
  59. Logos are important.
  60. You need to build a name for yourself.
  61. Not all comments marked as spam are really spam.
  62. No matter what others say, the web is really hard work.
  63. The web takes up a lot of time.
  64. There are webmasters younger than me.( stupid 11 year old blogger).
  65. For some reason that I can’t figure out, I love making websites and blogs.
  66. You can make a lot of money with the right idea.
  67. A lot of hits doesn’t mean a lot of money.
  68. Throwing your computer out the window is not a good idea.
  69. Sometimes people just want to be entertained.
  70. I want to do this as my full time job when I get older.
  71. The web is stressful.
  72. Don’t become obsessed.
  73. Make a to-do list.
  74. Set goals.
  75. Great designs are easy with templates.
  76. Taking a break is sometimes good.
  77. Raw code is very very hard.
  78. You don’t need technical knowledge to be successful.
  79. Don’t get distracted.
  80. There are many ways to come up with ideas.
  81. It helps to have a well organized notebook.
  82. Listening to music while writing distractes some, while helps others.
  83. Macs are better than PCs.
  84. You don’t need very much money to be successful.
  85. 90 percent of you are just skimming this post.
  86. You only have ten seconds to get a readers attention.
  87. Headers are great.
  88. Your site or blog needs to be fast.
  89. The web is a great place to meet friends you will probably never meet in real life.
  90. Links are very important.
  91. Firefox owns Internet explorer.
  92. IE 6 is holding back the web.
  93. Wordpress sucks. (you need to read post to understand)
  94. You will make many many mistakes.
  95. A falvicon is the little icon displayed to the left of the text on a tab.
  96. You can be your own boss on the web.
  97. People want to help.
  98. Free hosts suck for most websites.
  99. Translating your site/blog is a good idea.
  100. Ebooks are a good way to make money.
  101. I still have a ton to learn.

Wow, you’re really making some awesome list posts at the moment :D

Regarding the post, that last point is, in my opinion, the best. There’s no one out there that knows everything about blogging, purely because it’s developing and changing so quickly.

I think the best way to learn is from others. Check out what other people think… the advantages, disadvantages. Then it should be a lot easier. Still, you can never learn everything ;)

Yea, the constant blog articles me and you read eventually go into our heads.

I have a question though: what do you really want on this blog? What do I have that I can provide to my readers?

I would really appreciate your advice because I highly respect you as a fellow bloggeer.

Any how this is a better post. Many of the points are known to most of the bloggers.

Haah, you have really elaborated things to the longest extent possible.

I do not read your posts just the way many do.

I try to understand everypoint that you have written.
